MINDFULNESS BASED STRESS REDUCTION (MBSR)

MBSR is derived from insight meditation and healing movement practices. It teaches participants how to cultivate the capacity to pay attention on purpose in the present moment, without judgment. It is as much about switching 'off' as it is about switching 'on'.


Research shows that MBSR is highly effective for developing habits of high performance, decreasing the impact of stress, changing unhelpful habits, and managing pain and illness.

During this highly experiential course, participants develop a sound understanding of what mindfulness is, learn various mindfulness meditation practices and techniques, develop their capacity to pay attention on purpose, and, most importantly, learn how to use mindfulness to navigate the challenges of day-to-day modern life to make wiser choices.

The MBSR Program consists of eight weekly 2.5 hour sessions, plus an additional all-day session on the Sunday of the 6th week.
