Overcome fear, stress, anxiety and overwhelm naturally and emerge a more dynamic, decisive and confident version of yourself.

It can be hard to believe that you can overcome fear, stress, anxiety or overwhelm naturally by doing talking therapy and using the strategies provided by a licensed therapist. They won’t try and give you strategies that have already failed you. Rather, they will give you natural strategies that complement your lifestyle, align with your therapy goals and are proven to help adults overcome fear, stress, anxiety or overwhelm.

Not all fears, stressors, anxieties, or experiences of overwhelm are the same. Neither are their triggers. They differ across gender, age, and demographic. No matter whether you have someone else in your family or if you’re first to experience symptoms, there is a natural strategy you can use to overcome them. Afterall, you hold the lock, and the therapist provides the key, so to speak. That is why talking therapy works, because it’s personalised.

There is no hard and fast rule as to how long it will take to overcome fear, stress, anxiety or overwhelm by doing talking therapy. However, with an experienced professional you give yourself the best chance of an accelerated recovery.

Seeing a trained professional can help you overcome fear, stress, anxiety or overwhelm by unpacking it’s purpose for you in a safe, non-judgmental environment. Furthermore, it enables you to acknowledge it and decide how you’d like to be with it – that’s where one of the many benefits of talking therapy is realised.

Anxiety is the most common mental health condition in Australia. On average, one in four people – 1:3 women and 1:5 men – will experience anxiety at some stage in their life.

Testimonials

“Martine helped me with strategies to focus on moving forward, to help me calm my mind and manage my stress levels. The result was a clear understanding of some key focus areas and what I needed to do to improve in those areas. I have benefitted greatly from my work with Martine and I would highly recommend her to others”

“I started working with Martine when I was highly anxious and started to have panic attacks. I had resigned from my management role in hospitality to transition to the role of an accountant. The change was difficult for me, I was overwhelmed and I had no local family support. I had lost my self-confidence and was struggling with time management. I felt very confused.
Working with Martine I was able to find myself again. Martine helped me to find clarity and calm within myself. I am much more confident with my decisions now.”

Hello!

Feeling anxious can be your superpower but you have to get to know it first.

I have never considered myself anxious until I became a psychotherapist. Up until then I thought my desire to be the best person I could be was normal until it nearly broke me. The desire to be perfect was an overarching theme in my life and I now know it was my anxiety talking.

While it was not debilitating, like it is for many, it certainly got in the way of me enjoying myself and being present with family, friends and colleagues.

I was always trying to do the ‘right thing’ whatever that was and it was exhausting. I often found myself second guessing what I’d done and wondering if a different choice would have been better. Today I accept responsibility for my choices and I remind myself ‘perfect doesn’t exist’.

I know from experience that anxiety is a part of everyone’s life. It’s our relationship to it that determines if it is helpful or harmful.
